My favorite uke tuner!

Intelli_Tuner_-_200.jpgIt’s the Intelli IMT-500 Clip-On Chromatic Tuner. Works with every uke head I own and I have some ukes with very thin headstocks! It’s sensitive without being too jumpy so I tune faster and more accurate. Small enough to fit in comparments and pouches on even the smallest uke gig bags and cases, it’s ready when I need it. The backlight is bright and easily tuned on/off with a touch of the finger.

I’ve tried the Korg CA-30 tuner, pitchpipes, Fender LX-12 tuner, the Intellitouch PT-2 tuner and the ever-lovin’ tuning fork. Not bad, each and every one of them (except the Fender tuner.. didn’t like it a bit). But the Meisel is by far the easiest to use and the fastest, most consistent reading in most environments. Definitely worth a try for yourself. About $40 USD.

Just clicked on this section by mistake - I had not noticed it previously! Maybe you mentioned something in the redesign post - but I missed it.

Anyway, I like what you are doing in this section. Thanks

A year ago I got one of these from Music 123 (has their name on it). Wish I had purchased several ’cause at the time they were on sale for less than $20 delivered. A buddy who once borrowed it at a jam session goaded me by commenting on how his Intellitouch tuner had more features and automatically turned itself off. “Yeah, and your tuner stays in it’s box while mine is always on my guitar”. Which is no longer true ’cause now it’s always with my Fluke. Takes up little space and so far has worked on every instrument I’ve tried it on. It even showed me that my conch shell horn is a G#.

That sure looks like the Meisel MCT-7L Tuner and we have a few up on our Mountain Music Ebay store for $28.50 plus shipping. I have one on my uke, guitar, and bass and it is my favorite tuner.
